Indigenous & Community Relations
A Culture Supporting Diversity and Inclusion
Promoting Indigenous Involvement
Aureus Energy Services is committed to promoting Indigenous Involvement in the areas which we and our clients operate. We believe that communities should benefit from the economic activity occurring on reserve and traditional land use areas. Aureus strives to increase First Nations participation in our operations and consider Indigenous communities to be important partners. Our vision for collaboration, communication and design are aligned with those of our customers to minimize impacts, provide shared value and enhance relationships with Indigenous people.
Aureus acknowledges the rights of Indigenous people and recognize that additional resources, strategies and actions are required to engage with communities to understand their concerns and issues. Aureus has built and maintains an indigenous relations policy that governs our business relations with all first nations.
Aureus supports programs aimed towards increasing Aboriginal participation in post-secondary schooling in the Northern Alberta region. In partnership with the Grande Prairie Regional College and the Northern Lights College, we have made available several awards for First Nations to continue and enhance their post-secondary schooling.
