From the Canadian oil fields of Calgary, Alberta, Aureus Energy Services is entering the Permian Basin after gaining a U.S. foothold in the Rocky Mountains.

The water management company opened a Midland office and yard in May.

“We came down here, and one of the first things we did was sign a lease on a 10,000-square-foot, five-acre facility,” Jason Tocheniuk, company founder, said in a phone interview.

“We are, and have been, recruiting and building our human resources structure with a very strong, talented team of local management – business development, sales and health, safety and environment.”

Among the local hires are Clay Sears, Owen Williams and Wylie Bell, along with local project managers and field service operators.
